It is a combination that could be seen as a great contradiction in the Brazilian Coffee Farming Business. Being so, we may say that A.Guimarães Family has been creating the most remarkable contradictions in the Cerrado MIneiro Region.

Nearly three centuries later, our founders' vision remains guiding our beliefs, ambitions and attitudes as farmers. Quintas de Guimarães was created to remain a family business, focused on the traditional culture of constant innovation and producing outstanding coffees that are mostly unique.

Our options

The extraordinary world of options.

We want more than producing coffee, we want to make the most surprising coffees for each kind of client. A production process that is a mix between a complex mechanized world and a simple homemade one. Our business model was designed to satisfy a vast array of market profiles and to do that we are going to develop an ample display of options.

Our Terroir

Our coffees are produced in a unique "terroir" that is enveloped by Serra do Salitre, a noble micro-region in the Cerrado Mineiro, granting our coffees exclusive and unique characteristics.

Catiara

A unique "micro-terroir", situated just beneath the noble "Serra do Salitre terroir". Enveloped by Serra do Salitre, Catiara has its soil composition under influence of this noble terroir and benefits from the amount of water that comes from the springs sprouting from Serra do Salitre's hills and also from precipitation in the area, which is above average due the fact that the hills serve as a barrier to humidity. All of that allied to an average height of 980 meters with semi-flat fields that are ideal for growing coffee and balances quality and productivity.

Serra do Salitre

One of the most noble terroirs in the Cerrado Mineiro Region. Serra do Salitre terroir is known worldwide for its potential to produce high quality coffee. Thanks to a tropical climate, heights that reach 1270 meters and well-defined seasons of cold dry winters and warm humid summers. The region is rich in and named after a mineral, Salitre, potassium nitrate, very important for the nutrition of the crops, making Serra do Salitre one of the most noble terroirs in the Cerrado Mineiro region.
